Over here he talks about his experience with the NUJS diploma course, and how it is helping hs career. Over to Sandeepan

I was a practicing lawyer at the time of joining the NUJS diploma in Entrepreneurship and Business Law. Many Startups were approaching me for advisory services. Startup boom was catching up in Orrisa, but very few law firms in Orissa were specializing in startup advisory, I saw an opportunity in the field and decided to gain specialized knowledge by pursuing a formal course. I wanted a good hold over startup related laws and found the course syllabus to be apt.

Overall the course has tremendously enhanced my skill like drafting, negotiation, agreement, lease, business structure. The course is so strategically created and handy that when a client comes up with a particular issue all I have to do is look up for at that particular issue and the answer is there.

The module on raising investment helped me advise a startup looking for seed funding.  The webinars helped me improve my negotiation and drafting skills and also helped me develop a detail-oriented approach.

I’m looking forward to doing the module on arbitration and dispute resolution.  As part of my practice, I’m approached by businesses which do not have arbitration clauses in their agreements and are faced with litigation because of that.  I would also like to advise startups on arbitration so that they can prevent or minimize unnecessary expenditure on dispute resolution.

I have also benefitted immensely from the networking opportunity provided by the course and this has helped me to reach out to the right people to help my clients who needed support in other areas of legal practice.  The iPleaders network makes it easier to approach people from different fields.

iPleaders Club has a wonderful network of lawyers around the country from different fields like patent attorneys, litigators etc. The mentorship network is also very helpful; it helps in networking with the peer network.  I have personally used this service and found it very helpful.

I believe that the course has catered to all of my needs as a lawyer and an advisor.  I’m really impressed with the course structure and design and found the modules on agreements and business structuring to be very effective and helpful.

I would recommend this course to anyone starting litigation and advisory practice and especially those who don’t have exposure to corporate and transaction law firms.  The course is also a must for law students and it will help them with better job opportunities.

Since the course is available online, it is easier to access it anywhere anytime and learn at one’s own pace and convenience.
